Pressed FLowers Window Card
Pressed flowers make beautiful cards, and they can be quickly & easily made using a Microfleur Microwave Flower Press. See my detailed tutorial on using the Microfleur Flower Press.

Instructions

1. Use a paper trimmer to cut a 15cm x 29.7cm piece from the A4 White Card.

2. Make Marks along the long side of the card at the 10cm and 20cm marks.
Score the cards at these points and then fold the card at these points. See my tutorial on Scoring & Folding Card |

Use a bone folder to fold the card at the score lines

3. On the middle panel of the card, mark out a rectangle that is 2.5cm from the top & bottom, and 2cm from the sides of the panel.

4. Cut out the rectangle using a craft knife and paper trimmer.

5. Place the cut out rectangle underneath the laminating pouch.
I used a peg to hold open the laminating pouch. |

6. Arrange the dried flowers on the laminating pouch, using the cut out rectangle (which is the exact size of the window in the card) as a guide.
When you are happy with the arrangement, close the laminating pouch. |

7. Run the laminating pouch through the laminator.
To keep the arranged flowers in place I transported the pouch to the laminator on the craft board, and used the board to hold the pouch level which it was entering the laminator. |

8. Place the cut out rectangle underneath the laminated flowers in the position that the window of the card will sit.
Using a permanent marker draw a 1cm border around the cut out rectangle. Use a paper trimmer to cut out rectangle drawn with the permanent marker. |

9. Position the card so that the flap covering the window is on the right.
The flap that will cover the window is a few mm shorter that the back of the card. Open up the card and place double sided sticky tape around the edges of the window |

10. Place the laminated flowers onto the double sided sticky tape. Remember to place them with the back side facing up.

|
11. Place double sided sticky tape down both long sides of the window and also on the top, bottom & left hand side of the of the left hand card panel.
Make sure no tape protrudes into the area that will be exposed when the card flap is closed. |

12. Close the left hand card panel down over the window panel.
