There are heaps of different choices when it comes to scoring tools

- A ball point pen that has run out of ink will also work well. Anything with a small round / ball tip will score paper well.

I have a plastic Bone Folder which works well, although it has worn down a bit over the years with frequent use!
Scoring Paper
The first thing to do is to mark where you need the fold.
Mark and score the card on the REVERSE side (ie the score line will end up inside the fold). In this example, I'm making a card base and need to neatly fold the piece of card in half. I've marked where I need the score line with a light lead pencil mark. You could also use your scoring tool to make a small dent in the card to mark the spot. |
Using your scoring tool and a ruler, mark a dent along the card along the intended fold line.
