Cards made using pictures recycled form vintage books
Use a picture recycled from a vintage book to be the centrepiece of a card.
Ideas
Vintage books with thick paper are especially good for a torn edge effect.
Use paper from the same book for perfectly colour-matched embellishments. Examples below are:
A flower embellishment with words showing, highlighting the book nature of the image (Girl sitting with cat).
Flower stems embellishing the boy with his horse picture. The letters on this card are punched out from the same paper.
Let the picture remain the main feature of the card. Adding too many embellishments or colours will diminish the picture.
Kids books often have nice illustrations. These picture were recycled from "My Book of Pets" published by Nelson.
