Pressed Flower Bookmarks
Thanks for your support!
Pressed flowers make elegant bookmarks, and laminating them will mean that they can last for many years.
I pressed my flowers using my 20 year old Microfleur Microwave Flower Press. It is an easy & quick way create dried flowers. Mine has had a lot of use. I have a detailed and fully illustrated tutorial using the Microfleur Microwave Flower Press |
Materials Required
- Pressed flowers - thin, papery flowers work best for bookmarks
- Laminator
- Laminating Sheets
- See-through craft paper
- Corner punch
- Hole punch
- Ribbon
- Craft trimmer
Instructions
1. Open your laminating sheet (I've held mine open with a peg) and arrange your flowers and background papers for your bookmarks
For my first bookmark I chose a piece of fibre-textured green paper 20cm x 4cm as a backing piece and pink and white flowers. For my second bookmark I choose a piece of vellum 21cm x 5.5cm which I tore down both the long sides, along with pink, white & purple flowers. |
