Red Paper Poppies

Materials Required:

1. Red A4 paper or light card
2. Printer
3. Double-sided sticky tape or glue
4. Sticky Tape
5. Split pin
6. Green pipe-cleaner
7. Black pom pom (optional)

Instructions:

Step 1.
Print out the template onto A4 red paper or card.
The template is A4 size and available in jpg and pdf.
For jpg click on the template (right) to open it in another window. Right click to save to your computer or print.
For pdf click on the link below to open the document and select print.

Step 2. 
Cut out the poppy pieces. Cut down ONE of the dotted lines to the centre (as shown).

Step 3.
Used double sided sticky tape or glue and overlap the edges by the amount indicated by the dotted line to form a cone shape.

Step 4. 
Push a split pin through the upper section of the poppy, and then through the lower section.  It may be helpful to pierce it with a sharp object first. Fold down one side of the split pin to hold the pieces in place.

Step 5.
Cut a slit into the poppy centre (as shown) from the outside to the centre.
Use double-sided sticky tape to adhere the poppy centre into the middle of the flower.  Allow the edges to overlap as required.

Step 6. 
Use sticky tape to join the green pipe-cleaner onto the split pin.

Step 7. (optional)
Use double-sided sticky tape or glue to adhere a black pom pom into the centre of the flower.
