Colour in Poppies

Materials Required:
1. A4 white light card
2. Wax Crayons in red, orange and yellow
3. Split pin
4. Sticky tape
5. Double sided sticky tape or glue
6. Green pipe-cleaner
7. Scissors
8. Printer (to print out the template)
9. Black pom pom (optional)

Step 1.
Print out the template onto white A4 card. The templates are A4 sized and available in both jpg and pdf format.

Step 2.
Colour in the front of the template with the crayons. Cut out the template (do NOT cut on the dotted lines at this stage), turn over and colour in the back. |

Step 3.
Cut a slit into the poppy as shown. |

Step 4.
Use double sided tape (or glue) to for the poppy base into a cone-shape. The dotted line shows how far to overlap the edges.

Step 5.
Insert a split pin through the centre of the top piece of the poppy and then through the base. It may help to pierce the card with a sharp object to make this easier. Turn up one of the ends of the split pin to hold the pieces in place. |

Step 6.
Cut a slit in the central piece, as shown. Use Double-sided tape or glue to adhere the central piece onto the poppy. Allow the edges of the central piece to overlap as required. |

Step 7.
Use Sticky tape to attach the green pipe cleaner to the end of the split pin. |
|
|
Step 8. (Optional)
Use glue or double-sided sticky tape to attach a black pom pom to the centre of the flower. |
