The Gap
A spectacular 25m high granite channel where the waves crash in and spread spray skywards is located in Torndirrup National Park. The Department of Parks and Wildlife WA website has more information.
Natural Bridge
A granite formation that looks like a natural stone bridge. Waves crash and roll in under the stone bridge.
Albany Wind Farm
The Albany wind farm is situated just a short 12 km drive from Albany. The twelve giant turbines, each 100m high (including the blades), generate about 75% of Albany's power requirements. The Verve Energy Albany Wind Farm Web Site has more information on the specifics.
Cheynes II Wreck, Princess Royal Harbour
Abandoned in Princess Royal Harbour, the wreck of Cheynes II forms part of the Whaling History of the region.

Point Possession
The walking trail from Quaranup (Albany's old Quarantine Station) to Point Possession (where George Vancouver claimed the whole of Western Australia for Great Britian) is a 1.6 km walk.
Mount Melville
Mount Melville has fantastic views over the town. There are walking trails and a 23m high lookout.
Bald Head Walk
Bald Head can be reached on a 10km return bushwalk in Torndirrup National Park. There is more information on the walk at the Department of Parks and Wildlife WA Website.
Muttonbird Beach and Shelter Island (also known as Muttonbird Island)
Mutton bid Beach is approximately 20 km West of Albany. The Albany Gateway Website has more information.
